About these projects and their prices.
They are the total contract value of each project including GST, all trades, supply, rubbish removal and any signed variations. Where a project had a variation we say so, what it was for and what it added. We publish them because most renovation companies won't, and because a price with no context is useless to someone trying to budget.
Size, layout change and selections, in that order. The Parramatta bathroom is 5.4m², Premium specification, with a sound existing membrane and the plumbing left exactly where it was; the Seaforth bathroom is 9.1m² with the toilet moved to a new wall, an in-wall cistern, a 1.8m fluted double vanity, large-format stone and underfloor heating. Same builder, same standard of work, very different room.
Yes, and the case studies show it. Padstow's bathroom and kitchen together came in at $74,900 against $86,200 of separate quotes; Manly's two bathrooms came in about 15% under separate bookings. The saving is real because the mobilisation, site set-up, skip, trade travel and project management are shared — not because the work is thinner.
